On June 24, the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundaion (CTCACF) will be hosting their fourth annual Golf Against Kids Cancer Tournament at the Rattlesnake Point Golf Club with Jenna’s Angels Foundation, which raises funds to assist those organizations that assisted Jenna Santelli the most.
Frank Santelli, Jenna’s father, with Investors Group colleagues in Toronto, Mississauga and Oakville, have helped to support Jenna’s Angels locally and work with the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation (the remarkably successful national charity). They are devoted to fighting childhood cancer via cycling and team-building events.
The fundraiser is in support of the blood and pediatric cancer floor at Sick Kids. A combined commitment of $2 million from both foundations has been made to help fund Sick Kids and their research to improve the quality of life of children living with cancer.
A press conference was held yesterday at the Living Arts Centre. A good representation of local media attended, listening to the main presenter, Frank Santelli, as he eloquently described the amazing courage of his delightful daughter, Jenna, in her desperate and finally unsuccessful fight to live.
To date, Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation and its network of volunteers has raised $25 million for distribution to research programs and charities that make a difference in the lives of children and their families living with and beyond cancer.
Founded by Mississauga businessman Jeff Rushton, Coast to Coast Against Cancer has become an important contributor to cancer fighting support across the country, aiming to deliver 100 percent of the funds raised to worthy childhood cancer charities from coast to coast.
Now you can help support these wonderful Mississauga-launched charitable foundations in their fight against children’s cancer.
Newly retired regional director of Investors Group and CFL legend Chuck Ealey is hosting the charity golf tournament with fellow CFL stars Russ Jackson and Matt Dunigan. There are a variety of sponsorship and participation opportunities still available, and you can call Chuck directly to talk about them: 905-306-0031, extension 206.
