The summer initiative involves the Neighbourhood Policing Unit (NPU), bike officers and current Crime Stoppers to unexpectedly pop up at various locations that may benefit from the program. Their main locations would be shopping malls, parks, recreation centers, or any other location that has a high level of public social interaction.
Peel Crime Stoppers acts as a proactive program used by the public, police and media to anonymously assist in solving crime, contributing to the quality of life within the region of peel. In hopes of networking further and promoting their program, they have begun their new initiative along with the help of NPU and bike officers.
Locations will be sent via Peel Crime Stoppers’ Twitter and Facebook and Peel Regional Police Media Relations.
